We’ve run field days at Piedmont Park, Centennial Olympic Park, and the Historic Fourth Ward, so we know the permit process, the weather windows, and the logistics of moving a group from a Midtown or Buckhead office to a park venue. Most outdoor group activities in Atlanta’s city parks require a permit, and we plan two to four weeks ahead as a standard part of how we book events.

For indoor color war events, we partner with venues like Tyrone Depot, indoor soccer facilities and other event spaces across the city, so a summer heat wave (or a booking in the cooler months) doesn’t mean scaling back the format. The same game stations and staffing run indoors, which is how we keep field days available year-round.

Atlanta Corporate Culture

Atlanta’s corporate landscape spans established finance, logistics, and Fortune 500 headquarters downtown and in Midtown, a fast-growing tech corridor in Alpharetta and Buckhead, and a major film and production industry across the metro area. When we’re planning a team building event in Atlanta, we’re thinking about that range. A 40-person fintech team in Midtown has different needs than a 300-person logistics company offsite, and building a format that scales either way.

Seasonality

Atlanta has a real outdoor event season. Spring (April–May) and fall (September-October) are the windows when most of our Atlanta clients book, since the heat and humidity from June through August make all-day outdoor play tougher. For events booked in peak summer or the colder months, we move the same format into one of our indoor venue partners rather than turning clients away.

Beyond Atlanta

Most of our Atlanta events run in Midtown, Buckhead, and Old Fourth Ward, but we regularly travel for clients in Decatur, Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta, Marietta, Sandy Springs, and Dunwoody. If your office is outside the city core, you’re still in our service area — just flag the location when you request a quote so we can plan logistics accordingly.

What a Throwback Field Day Looks Like

A typical Throwback field day runs 90–120 minutes, with 6–8 simultaneous game stations rotating every 10–12 minutes. No waiting in line, no dead time. We handle setup, staffing, scoring, and breakdown — you show up.

Compare that to a typical happy hour: people drift toward the two or three coworkers they already talk to every day, and the rest of the room stays exactly as separate as it was at the office. Our game format doesn’t leave that option open — you’re teamed up with people you don’t normally sit near, and you stay teamed up with them for the next ten minutes. The mixing isn’t a bonus side effect; it’s built into how the games are structured.
