Bring Back the Joy of Play — and Pay It Forward

At Throwback, we bring back the best parts of being a kid — high-fives, friendly competition, and the simple joy of playing together.

Now, we’re making those moments matter even more.

All of May and through June 15, when you book a Throwback event, we’ll donate 5% of your event’s revenue to support a local classroom through DonorsChoose — a nonprofit that helps teachers fund real, tangible needs for their students.

And don't worry, your event can take place anytime — it’s the booking date that counts! A field day, color war, scavenger hunt, or any Throwback offering.

How It Works (And Why It’s Awesome)

DonorsChoose is basically a dream come true for teachers.

Educators post projects they need help funding. That could be new art supplies, sports equipment, library books, or STEM kits. Who knows, maybe supplies for their own school field day! Donors like us get to pick projects and bring them to life.

For each event booked, we’ll choose a project in the area where your event takes place. Because we believe in making an impact right in your own backyard!

Want to get in on the fun? You can even help select which project we support!

And yes — we’ll absolutely follow up to show you exactly where your contribution went and the difference you helped make.

Why This Matters to Us

Throwback was built on a simple idea: Play brings people together.

It helps us connect, break down walls, and rediscover the pure, unfiltered joy we all had as kids.

But not every kid gets the resources they need to thrive. Tight budgets and other challenges are hitting underserved communities the hardest. It’s estimated that each year, teachers spend over a combined $1 billion of their own money on classroom supplies.

By teaming up with DonorsChoose, we’re doubling down on our mission: to bring play, connection, and opportunity to everyone. That includes our adult field day clients along with the next generation.

Ready to rally your team and uplift a local school?

Let’s have some fun and pay it forward. 🎉
